Who reads thrillers?
I occasionally found an expression “humid thriller”. Maybe, by any chance, someone knows what it means.

I've seen that one a few times as well. I believe it refers to a suspenseful story set in a warm, southern location such as Florida or Louisiana.
I think it may be intended as a play on the expression "torrid thriller."

If it's printed by the publisher on or about the book itself, you can read it as bullshit/ advertising :)
