"reach out" and many similar trendy comments usually come from sales/marketing departments. These dept. are usually stocked with newbie college grads form some state college business dept. and are hell bent on the the whole "Capitolism" system, as in "I'm gonna get my share"

Yup...just like "absolutely" has replaced a simple "yes" and everything good is now "amazing".!
This is the jargon of salespeople mostly, people who have zero talent/skills.
