and so...
I've come across this in student writing, and it is potentially a coordinating conjunction issue.
For example:
"John loves to dance, and Marie loves to dance."
But this is troublesome to me:
"John loves to dance and so does Marie."
Is it not a double coordinating conjunction, requiring a comma, introducing a second independent clause?
