I googled "It is what it is" because I think it's a cop out phrase so as to not deal with the situation at hand. I loved how you stated it's "an expression of positive resignation". People give up too easily in life and don't fight for truth, or fairly for that fact. I enjoyed every word you wrote even if it did come across somewhat racist. But what the heck....you spoke from your heart and that's truly how it is!
